JACOB & CO. The latest Bugatti Chiron watch is a movement of pure excess
Whether you're a watch lover or love the fast-paced things in life, the latest timepieces from Jacob & Co. are for you. In an ongoing collaboration with Bugatti, the watchmaker has launched another Chiron-inspired watch.
Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon Baguette Black and Orange - yes, it's mouth-watering - recreates the iconic Bugatti 16-cylinder engine on your wrist. That is, if the Chiron engine had an 18K white gold tonneau case, 190 baguette white diamonds, 109 baguette black sapphires and 42 baguette orange sapphires - all set invisibly!
The watch is once again powered by Jacob & Co.'s JCAM37 hand-wound movement. However, Bugatti's influence lives on in the workings of timepieces. It features a 16-piston animation and two "turbochargers" (compared to the four in an actual Bugatti Chiron engine) that spin when activated. The watch also features a 60-hour power reserve and a "fuel" power reserve indicator.
Like the supercar that inspired it, this watch is a pure overworkout. It's a minimalist, bombastic love letter to the Bugatti Chiron that seems to be just a timing tool by coincidence. To understand the impact of this watch, you have to see it in action.
So how much does a diamond-studded luxury watch inspired by one of the world's most expensive cars cost? Well, the Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron engine watch falls under the brand's "Pièce Unique" category, so pricing is currently only available upon request.
