FCS Playoffs First RoundThe Matchup -- North Carolina A&T (9-2) at Richmond (8-3)Kickoff -- 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Robins Stadium (8,700) in Richmond, VirginiaCoverage -- ESPN3Series -- First meetingPlayers to Watch -- North Carolina A&T: RB Tarik Cohen (1,518 rushing yards, 339 receiving yards, 19 total TDs), DE Marquis Ragland (44 tackles, 9 TFL), LB Jeremy Taylor (75 tackles, 4 INTs, 8 PBU); Richmond: WR Brian Brown (67 receptions, 1,179 yards, 9 TDs), DT Winston Craig (47 tackles, 7.5 sacks), LB Omar Howard (77 tackles, 8 TFL)The Skinny -- While MEAC teams have lost 19 straight FCS playoff games, North Carolina A&Ts one win in four previous appearances was a huge one -- it beat No. 1 Tennessee State in 1999. The Aggies seek to recover from last weeks 42-21 loss at rival North Carolina Central, which ended their bid to win the MEAC championship and return to the Celebration Bowl. Cohen has 5,549 career rushing yards, the conference record and more than any active player in the FCS. Backup quarterback Oluwafemi Bamiro, who pulled out a four-overtime win at FBS member Kent State in September, has started the last two games because Lamar Raynard has a chest injury. The Aggies have 37 sacks, and 10 different players have at least a pair (DE Angelo Keyes six are the high). Richmond has faced adversity from 12 season-ending injuries, the latest suffered by No. 1 quarterback Kyle Lauletta (torn ACL). If backup David Broadus remains out for a third straight game, untested Jake Clise or Reid Chenault will step in for Lauletta. And if the play calling is scaled back, redshirt freshman running back Deontez Thompson (five 100-yard performances in last six games) will get a big workload. The Spiders defense is ranked third in the FCS in passing yards allowed (156.5 ypg), although the focus will be on stopping Cohen. The Spiders, one of six teams in this years field to have won an FCS title (2008), opened the season by beating Virginia.Up Next -- The winner plays at No. 7 seed North Dakota (9-2) in the second round Dec. 3.Prediction -- With Richmond reeling from the loss of Lauletta, this wouldnt be a big upset if North Carolina A&T ended the MEACs playoff losing streak. The host Spiders will have to win with defense. Richmond 21-17.Tyler Mahle Jersey . Oaklands loss to Seattle clinched the ALs best record for the Red Sox with one day to spare in the regular season. Kluber, who won Game 1 of the ALCS, will face Torontos Aaron Sanchez. When Clevelands Game 3 starter, Trevor Bauer, left after two-thirds of an inning, the Indians used six relievers to complete the final 8 1/3 innings.Indians left-hander Ryan Merritt, who has one career major league start and four appearances, had been listed as the tentative Game 4 starter.Manager Terry Francona, however, said he had little choice but to start Kluber, who is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA this postseason. If we dont bring him back (Tuesday) and he pitches Game 5, we dont have a starter for Game 7, Francona said. I mean, we have to physically have a starter. So this is the best way to do it. I mean, this is the only way to do it. Theres no other way around it. We dont have another starter right now. Its not that difficult.Kluber is 1/3 with a 5.34 ERA in five career regular-season starts against Toronto. However, on Friday in Game 1, he held them to six hits, two walks and two runs while striking out six in 6 1/3 innings.Sanchez will be making his second career postseason start and the second of this postseason. His previous postseason experience was as a reliever in 2015.Sanchez allowed six runs on three hits and four walks in taking a no-decision against the Texas Rangers in Game 3 of the American League Division Series, a game Torronto won in 10 innings.dddddddddddd In the 2015 postseason, he was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 7 1/3 innings over nine games. In one start against Cleveland this season, Sanchez was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. He is 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA in three career games, including two starts, against the Indians.Hopefully just to keep my emotions in check, Sanchez said when asked what he learned from his ALDS start vs. the Rangers. Ive been there before, last year, but it was out of the pen. The roles were a little bit different.Blue Jays manager John Gibbons juggled his lineup Monday, moves that included putting Jose Bautista in the leadoff spot, where he had been earlier in the season, and putting Troy Tulowitzki into the No. 4 spot. The duo went a combined 1-for-6 with two walks in the Game 3 loss.Gibbons said he did not anticipate making any more such moves.I may already have done that enough, Gibbons said. No, well run the boys out there (Tuesday) that got us to this point. Its a pretty good group and theyre due.The Indians insist they are not yet looking forward to the World Series. Were honestly not even thinking about it too much, said second baseman Jason Kipnis, who hit the go-ahead homer in the sixth inning Monday. And thats the best part about this. Even with the young guys on this team with not much postseason experience, after the first win versus Boston, everything slowed down for everyone, and it always feels like the next games are on the schedule, like weve been playing, like we have the whole time.We know were not ever out of it. And guys have a lot of confidence and have a lot of fun right now, and its a good recipe to win games. ' ' '
