Prince Ali bin al-Husseins lawyers have moved to have the FIFA presidential election suspended.Prince Alis legal representatives have made an official request to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to postpone the event because of fears over voting arrangements.CAS confirmed: We have registered an appeal and request for urgent provisional measures filed by Prince Ali Al Hussein. FIFA has been invited to file written observations in reply to Prince Alis request. The request for provisional measures will be decided by CAS no later than the morning of Thursday 25 February.Al-Husseins chief concern is that middle men are offering money to the 209 member associations to vote for different candidates. Al-Hussein wants transparent voting booths used at the congress, but this request was rejected by FIFA, while there have also been suggestions he has asked voters to take a picture of their voting card for proof.Al-Husseins second concern is that two of the candidates, UEFAs Gianni Infantino and the Asian Football Confederations Sheik Salman, are backed by their own associations. They will therefore have more of their own people accredited and present at the Zurich congress, and Al-Hussein is concerned these people will try to cajole the 209 voters to vote for their men.Al-Husseins third complaint is that Infantino, the second favourite to win behind Sheik Salman, has admitted he has been talking to Michel Platini - the suspended FIFA president - on the phone, and that it is breaking election rules. Mark Pieth, the former chairman of FIFAs independent governance committee , has backed Prince Alis calls to postpone the presidential election In a statement, Al-Husseins lawyers said: FIFA opposed our request for an accelerated procedure so that these questions could be decided before February 26. It was therefore natural that Prince Ali goes to the CAS (on Monday).Sky Sports News HQs chief news reporter Kaveh Solhekol, reporting from Zurich, said: Prince Ali has become more forthright in the last couple of weeks but, to be honest, there is not much chance of the election being suspended.Prince Ali and his lawyers do not think the election is going to free or fair, but a lot of people feel this is an act of desperation on his part.Al-Hussein, Sheikh Salman and Infantino are joined by Tokyo Sexwale and Jerome Champagne on the ballot.Sheikh Salman of Bahrain is considered the favourite having gained the support of both the Asian Football Confederation, of which he is president, and the Confederation of African Football.Infantino has received the backing of UEFA, including the English FA.Watch full coverage of the FIFA Presidential Election on February 26 on Sky Sports News HQ.Ray Schalk Jersey .C. -- After a listless first half, the Washington Wizards used a big third quarter run to beat the Charlotte Bobcats Bradley Beal scored 21 points and the Wizards used a 17-0 run in the third quarter to take control of what had been a close game and beat the Bobcats 97-83 on Tuesday night. Its not for myself and its certainly not for my shoulders, its for the team and giving energy to the boys, said Lawes, who will be calling the line-out against South Africa.Im not too fussed about who I hit, where I hit or how hard it is as long as Im doing my job.I prefer to stop the big guys rather than wiping out smaller ones. I do that frequently for Northampton, but when its on big guys the impact doesnt look anywhere near as bad because they are the same weight.Just as long as Im not missing tackles and Im doing my part for the team Im happy. When asked if he relished facing the Springboks because of the chance to tackle some of the sports biggest players, Lawes replied: Yes, definitely. But the laws of the game are changing and I dont want to put my team in any stress from geetting cards so obviously the hits have taken a plunge from that.dddddddddddd.Of course we have strategies around the pack to deal with their physicality and hopefully we will put that into effect. We have spoken about how physical they are and how their mindset changes when they come to England and we will have to deal with that.Lawes duel with Springbok giant Eben Etzebeth is one of the most eagerly-awaited collisions on Saturday.Etzebeth is a big guy and he runs hard and straight. Its about technique, your height in the tackle and things like that, Lawes said.Im not going to fly into him and try and smoke him, but I can certainly put him down and make the next guys job a bit easier on my team.Lawes has profited from injuries to first-choice lock pairing Maro Itoje and George Kruis, but his 50th cap may have been delayed had he not recovered from the knee injury that forced his late withdrawal from two Northampton matches last month.I did it about a month ago and carried on playing. The problem with that is that it kept blowing up and I had to get the swelling down for the next game, Lawes said.It got to the point where I couldnt get it down so I just needed some time to rest and then crack on with playing. But Ive trained fully and its fine. ' ' '
