CALGARY -- A defensive back with the Calgary Stampeders has been charged with two counts of assault after an incident outside Cowboys Casino. Police allege that Quincy Butler hit a taxi driver several times after being asked to pay a deposit before a trip. They also allege that Butler head-butted and punched a much smaller man who tried to intervene to help the cab driver. Police allege the incident happened at 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
